Customs support staff stationed at the Jendema Customs Post have intercepted a motorcyclist carrying approximately 1.5 kilograms of dried leaves, believed to be the illicit substance “Kush.”
The arrest occurred as part of enhanced surveillance operations along Sierra Leone’s border regions, aimed at curbing smuggling and cross-border crime.
The suspect, along with the motorbike and the suspected contraband, has been handed over to the Mano River Police Division for further investigation. Authorities are currently analyzing the evidence to determine the full scope of the smuggling operation.
