The World Bank Implementation Support Team has commenced a two-week mission at Stats SL to assess the progress of the Harmonizing and Improving Statistics in West Africa (HISWA) Project.
This mission will also offer technical support for the upcoming Sierra Leone Integrated Household Survey (SLIHS-2024).
The delegation includes Senior Economist and Statistician Abdoullalai Beidou, who serves as the Team Lead for seven West African countries under the HISWA Project, along with Senior Economist Rose Mungai and Senior Statistician Gervais Yama, both from the World Bank.
During the mission, the team will engage with Stats SL management and HISWA Project staff to review the project’s implementation progress, the result framework (RF), the current status of SLIHS-2024, the Multi Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS-7), and the ongoing Stats SL office building projects.
HISWA, initiated by the World Bank, aims to improve and harmonize the collection of accurate and high-quality statistical data in Sierra Leone and other participating West African nations.
