All People’s Congress APC flagbearer aspirant Ady Macauley, on Monday, January 5 2026, hosted his rival, former Vice President Samuel Sam-Sumana.
The meeting brought together members of Team Sam 2028 and Team Ady Macauley for open, constructive discussions focused on the future of the party.
According to Macauley, the engagement was fruitful and forward-looking, adding that they exchanged views on strengthening unity within the APC, improving collaboration among aspirants, and laying the groundwork for a credible and victorious path to 2028.
“Our shared understanding is clear: the APC must stand united, focused, and disciplined if we are to reclaim State House and restore confidence in leadership.”
He stated that the interaction reflects his belief that internal cohesion, mutual respect, and dialogue are essential to building a strong party and a strong democracy.
Though they may have different ambitions, their collective goal remains the same—returning the APC to power and delivering responsible, people-centered governance for Sierra Leone.“Unity is not a slogan; it is a strategy.
