Former Minister of Presidential and Political Affairs under the All People’s Congress (APC) government and current Presidential Spokesman, Alhaji Alpha Kanu has revealed that he is statesman.
The Presidential Spokesman revealed this during the weekly press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier last week.
“People think I am one-sided but I’m not. I’m a stateman.
What I want for Sierra Leone is peace,” he said.
He also lengthily spoke on the Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) and the role he played in the Committee during President Ernest Bai Koroma’s administration years ago.
Kanu, a former senior member of the APC, resigned from the party earlier this year. It is believed that he was having a strange relationship with some members at the higher echelons of the party.
Kanu’s alliance with the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has been detested by majority of APC members. Some called him betrayer but Kanu said his decision is for the interest of Sierra Leone.
