The All People’s Congress (APC) has strongly condemned recent allegations made by Mrs. Joe Koroma, describing Dr. Richard Konteh and other party stalwart as unfounded and harmful to the party’s efforts to promote unity and progress in Sierra Leone.

In an audio recording that surfaced earlier last week, Mrs. Koroma reportedly leveled accusations against Dr. Richard Konteh and other APC leaders, which the party has denounced as false and defamatory.

According to a press statement from the APC, Mrs. Koroma’s accusations not only target Dr. Konteh personally but also undermine the integrity of other leaders dedicated to peace and national development.

The statement warns that her comments risk creating discord within the APC and among its supporters, potentially disrupting ongoing efforts to foster dialogue and reconciliation in the country.

The APC’s media team highlighted Dr. Richard Konteh’s long-standing commitment to unity, integrity, and service.

Known for his role in empowering communities and championing social inclusion, Dr. Konteh has led numerous initiatives focused on peace, national cohesion, and economic empowerment. His vision for Sierra Leone, they emphasized, is one of hope, justice, and equal opportunity for all citizens.

“This recent defamatory campaign represents a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and tarnish the reputations of those dedicated to advancing peace and democracy in Sierra Leone,” the statement reads. “We urge the public to remain vigilant against divisive rhetoric and to reject these falsehoods that detract from the important work of nation-building.”

The APC called upon all Sierra Leoneans to prioritize the goals of progress and national unity. They urged supporters to dismiss misleading narratives and reaffirm their commitment to a peaceful and prosperous future.

In closing, the APC reiterated its commitment to fostering a Sierra Leone where truth, respect, and unity are upheld. The statement affirmed, “As a party, we will continue to stand strong against divisive efforts, and we remain focused on our mission to uplift communities and build a united, thriving nation.”
