Port Loko District newly elected District Council Chairman, Sheku Tejan Saccoh, has said that his administration is going to focus on “bringing the council to the people.”
He said, “I’m going to bring the council closer to the people in terms of council planning. I will be engaging communities to know their needs and ensure that those needs are addressed based on what the people want. I’m going to continue from where the past chairman stops,”
He also disclosed that part of his plans is to see how best he can curtail the joblessness affecting the youth of Port Loko District. He continued saying that he will promote the entertainment industry through engagement with the locals to help make Port Loko regains its lost glory.
He concluded that agriculture, tourism and mining activities are going to be his key focus to ensure his goodwill for Port Loko indigenes.
