Sierra Leone female hip-hop artist Natasha Beckley has lost the Port Loko Mayoral position under the All People’s Congress (APC).

The APC held its local-level election to choose representatives for different positions in the upcoming June 24th, 2023 election.

Natasha made this announcement on a Facebook post after the election was conducted.

She calls on the public to vote for the APC in the June 24th election.

“I lost my candidacy at the Port Loko city level worth 40% of our total votes, the party decides on the 60%. This was a fight worth fighting. Thank you to all my well-wishers, my supporters, and those that contributed to the campaign. This is politics learning to deal with results and maintaining confidence in your political structure. #VOTEAPC2023”.
