Dr. Richard Conteh, a former flagbearer aspirant and recent representative on the Tripartite Committee, has voiced strong criticism against what he describes as deceitful tactics by elite politicians within the All People’s Congress (APC). In a recent statement on X, Dr. Conteh expressed frustration over attempts to mislead grassroots supporters regarding the party’s internal processes.

Dr. Conteh questioned the connection between standard membership registration an established procedure under the 2022 APC Constitution and the broader struggle for electoral justice. He challenged the so-called elite within the party, accusing them of misleading vulnerable members

We are all committed to fighting for electoral justice, reforms, and accountability,” Dr. Conteh asserted. Citing a recent CNN interview with Barack Obama, he emphasized that democracy thrives only when individuals are willing to actively support it. He called for a clear roadmap from APC leaders to advance these goals.

Dr. Conteh also endorsed a fair and transparent membership registration process, advocating for the cleaning of the party’s membership database and the establishment of a credible and democratic intra-party process. He concluded his statement with a rallying cry for collective action, saying, “Together, we move!”
