Forest Green Rovers have confirmed the signing of young defender Abraham Kanu on a season long loan from Reading FC for the 2025/26 campaign.

Abraham is a 20-year-old Football plyer, born in England on 2005, who plays as a Defender for Reading FC in England and also played for Sierra Leone National Team.

Kanu, a promising talent from Sierra Leone, is set to bolster Forest Green’s defensive options as they prepare for the upcoming season. The 19-year-old has progressed through the ranks at Reading and is regarded as a player with significant potential.

This move marks an important step in Kanu’s development, providing him with the opportunity to gain regular first-team experience in a competitive environment. For Forest Green Rovers, the addition of Kanu brings added depth and youthful energy to their back line.
