As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, one of Sierra Leone leading Mobile Company Africell is Partnering with the National Sports Authority to construct a modern indoor basketball court at Aberdeen In an effort to boost the growth of the sports.

This collaboration is an integral part of comprehensive Sport development drive by the NSA, which aims to contribute tangible benefits empower young people through sports and fostering economic growth.
Africell believes that a basketball court is more than just a court. It can uplift a community, unite youth and provide career opportunities for many.

The Project will be fully funded by Africell having been convinced in by the new NSA Project Coordinator Micheal Shamsu Mustapha and the President of the Sierra Leone Basketball Federation, Alie Hyjazi.

The next steps will involve surveying the land and commencing the construction of a state-of-the-art indoor basketball facility.

As the second most played sport in the world, basketball is a sport that has the potential to unify and positively influence an entire society. When used wisely, basketball is a fabulous bridge-building tool.
