Sierra Leonean midfielder Alie Conteh, known as “Nzozi,” has made a significant move in his football career, signing a four-year contract with Norwegian top-flight side Stromsgodset. The deal, extending his career in European football, will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029.
The 20-year-old completed the transfer from Mjondalen Football Club, where his standout performances in the Norwegian First Division had garnered him a growing reputation for his energy, composure, and tactical intelligence.
“I am very happy. It feels good to come to Stromsgodset. I have dreamed of this and worked hard to reach this step,” Conteh expressed, clearly excited about joining his new club.

The transfer details were agreed upon by both clubs, allowing Conteh to undergo a medical examination before finalizing the contract. The negotiations between Stromsgodset and Mjondalen, his former club, were successful in cementing the move.
Sporting Director Jostein Flo commented on the acquisition, stating, “We are very pleased to secure a young and exciting forward with his best years ahead of him, who has shown good development during his time at Mjondalen.” He also extended his gratitude to Mjondalen for their cooperation during the transfer process.

Conteh initially joined Mjondalen on loan from Goderich FC in Sierra Leone before last season. He made an immediate impact, scoring a hat-trick in just his second match, contributing to a 5-3 victory over Valerenga. Last season, he played 30 matches, starting 15 and coming off the bench in another 15, netting seven goals.
His loan spell was made permanent this winter, and he has continued to impress, scoring 12 goals in 17 matches across league and cup competitions this season.
This transfer to Stromsgodset marks a significant milestone in Conteh’s promising career. With a four-year contract, he will have ample opportunity to further develop his skills and establish himself in the Norwegian top-flight, aiming to make a positive impact on his new club.
