Bai Bureh Warriors FC of Port Loko secured their first win of the 2024/25 Leone Rock Premier League season on February 13, defeating Mighty Blackpool 4-1 at the New Port Loko Field.
The Warriors put up an amazing performance in the encounter, ending their losing streak with a strong display. Despite Mighty Blackpool’s best attempt, Bai Burreh Warriors dominated the game from start to finish.
The Warriors gained the lead in the last seconds of the first half, with Mohamed S. Mansaray, who replaced Momoh Bangura shortly before the 45-minute mark, playing a key role.
Capio Bangura, who had received a yellow card in the 42nd minute, made amends in the second half by extending his team’s lead in the 66th minute. Koleko Prospere extended the lead in the 60th minute, and Mohamed Kamara secured the victory in the 67th minute.
Blackpool struggled to respond despite their best efforts, as the Bai Burreh Warriors shown perseverance and skill throughout the match.
