Sierra Leone Premier League (SLPL) side, FC Kallon is set to battle with Ghanaian club, Dreams FC in the Second Preliminary Round of the CAF Confederation Cup in Accra, Ghana on September 15.
The Cavaliers will later host Dreams FC at the Southern Arena on Saturday, September 30.
The SLPL club gained automatic automatic qualification to the second preliminary round after their Nigerien counterpart, AS Douanes pulled out of the competition.
The Cavaliers were knocked out of the Second Preliminary Round by Egyptian side, Future FC in 2022-23 edition of the competition. Much was expected from the Sierra Leone team after scintillating performance against Benin outfit Les Buffles du Borgou in the First Preliminary Round.
No Sierra Leonean team has ever qualified for the group stage since the competition was inaugurated in 2004 but the Cavaliers are optimistic this time round.
The SLPL club will be playing without star striker, Alie Conteh who left for Europe at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Liberian striker, Emmanuel Gono could be available for selection against Dreams FC.
