Former Leone Stars right-back and midfielder, Kallum Cesay has failed to impress at Bundesliga Club, Werder Bremen.
“Kallum did a good job and also presented himself well off the pitch, but he is a bit away from the Bundesliga,” the club’s head of first team football, Clemens Fritz said on Wednesday.
Sierraloaded understands that the German club has been following the 21-year-old during his time a Tottenham Hotspur Youth Team.
“Kallum is a young player who enjoyed a very good education at Tottenham,” Fritz said.
The right-back left Spurs months ago when his contract expired.
Cesay also had a brief spell at East London club, West Ham United.
Sierra Leone national team head coach, John Keister is fond of Cesay and selected him for several friendly matches despite the defender never making a professional debut for a club.
Keister got his money’s worth when the defender scored twice on his debut against Congo.
