Sierra Leone’s Trevor Chalobah has been left out Gareth Southgate 28-man squad ahead of upcoming friendlies with Italy and Germany.
Chalobah who was born in Freetown, has been under the rader of Leone John Stars Coach John Keister. However, the Chelsea star is yet to make a decision about representing Sierra Leone.
Chalobah has represented England in the U16,17,19,20,21 and still hopeful to make his debut for the England senior side.
England will play Italy on 23rd September in a repeat of the Euro 2020 final before facing Germany three days later; it will be the first time Southgate’s men have been in action since a humbling 4-0 defeat to Hungary in June.
“Reflecting on the last couple of months, clearly as an international manger you don’t have any games to quickly put the disappointment behind you,” Southgate added.
“We have had a long period to reflect but now we are really looking forward to two high-quality matches that will be a great test for us and a crucial part of our preparation for the World Cup. It is only eight weeks until we will be naming our squad for Qatar so every minute counts.”
