The Freetown City Football Club (FCFC) has officially announced the appointment of Raymond Girald Hunter as their new head coach.

This decision comes on the heels of the recent dismissal of Alusine Balla Kargbo, who was relieved of his duties following a string of disappointing performances in the Leone Rock Premier League.

Reportedly, Raymond Hunter arrives at FCFC with a wealth of experience in football management. He previously oversaw Anti Drugs FC and also filled the role of interim manager at East End Lions.

During his tenure at East End Lions, which lasted for two consecutive seasons, Hunter took over the managerial role after the departure of Francis Zappa Koroma. He notably guided the team to a commendable third-place finish in the 2022/23 season, demonstrating his capability to uplift a club struggling in the league.

However, Hunter’s career has not been without its challenges; he also led Anti Drugs FC during a tumultuous period that culminated in the team’s relegation from the top flight league two seasons ago. As he steps into his new position at the Freetown City Football Club, all eyes will be on Raymond Hunter.

Fans and club officials alike are hopeful that he can successfully turn the club’s fortunes around and lead them back to a path of victory and success in the league. The upcoming matches will certainly be pivotal for Hunter’s new role and the future of Freetown City Football Club.
