Madam Isha Johansen, a distinguished counsel member of FIFA and the visionary behind Football For Reform and Fashion for Change initiatives, has joined hands with FIFA and CAF to launch the CAF License D Coaching Course for female inmates. The historic event took place at the Sierra Leone Female Correctional Centre, within the Special Court Building in Freetown, on November 23, 2023.

The CAF License D Coaching Course is set to unfold over five transformative days within the confines of the Female Correctional Center. An inspiring cohort of 30 female inmates will actively participate in this pioneering coaching course, marking a significant step towards integrating football as a tool for positive change and skill development within correctional facilities.

The coaching course will comprise two daily sessions. The morning session will focus on football theory and psychological training, while the afternoon session will involve practical and field training. Here, the inmates will acquire diverse practical football skills.

Leading the instructional efforts is Majidah Nantanda, a highly esteemed CAF instructor hailing from Uganda. With a wealth of experience and expertise, Nantanda is well-equipped to guide the participants through the intricacies of coaching, providing them with valuable skills and knowledge that extend beyond the football field.

The launching ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries who lent their support to this commendable initiative.
