The Chairman of East End Lions Football Club Anthony Navo Jr. has congratulated his team after they defeated rivals FC Kallon by a goal to nil at home turf.

“As Chairman of this great club, may I send my heartfelt congratulations to the entire squad on the impressive 1-0 victory over FC Kallon in the 2nd round of the Premier League 2023,” Navo said after their victory.

He added that the performance of the club in the match has tipped them as favourite to win the league this year.

The Chairman stated that the victory has rejuvenated the spirit of the club’s fans which he attributed to the professionalism and “outstanding performance” of their players during the match.

“Many thanks to our players, Management, our dedicated fans and supporters,” he said.

He ended by affirming that Lions are preparing for their next match while confirming that the club will win.

The victory for The Killers on Sunday evening has seen them leapfrog The Cavaliers to third position.

Meanwhile, defending champions, Bo Rangers extended their lead in the league after second place Mighty Blackpool dropped points against Wilberforce Strikers on Saturday evening.
