The National Paralympic Committee of Sierra Leone is in preparation to participate in the 2023 African Paralympic Games which will take place in Accra, Ghana between the 3 – 12 September 2023.

The 2023 Paralympic games in Ghana will feature eight para sporting disciplines, namely; Para Athletics, Para Powerlifting, Para Taekwondo, Wheelchair Tennis, Wheelchair Basketball, Goalball, Sitting Volleyball, and Blind Football.

The Paralympic Games or Paralympics, also known as the Games of the Paralympian, is a periodic series of international multisport events involving athletes with a range of physical disabilities.

There are Winter and Summer Paralympic Games, which since the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, are held almost immediately following the respective Olympic Games.

The 2023 African Paralympic Games is the maiden edition of the game in Africa. All Paralympics Games are governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
