Bhantal FC has continued their fine form this new season in the Leone Rock Premier League after thrashing Wusum Stars 4-0 at the Approved School Grounds.

The Friday clash was well dominated by the home side who opened the scoring in the 26th minute of play when clinical striker, Mohamed Bangura recorded his name on the scoresheet.

Just nine short minutes later, Fleance Kamara unleashed a powerful strike into the net, effectively widening Bhantal’s lead to an impressive 2-0. The crowd erupted in cheers as Kamara celebrated his decisive goal, marking a pivotal moment in the match.

Just ten minutes later, Mohamed Bangura found the back of the net once again, scoring his second goal in stoppage time of the first half. With this impressive strike, he extended the home side’s lead to a commanding 3-0, much to the delight of the cheering crowd.

In the second half of the match, Bhantal shifted their approach significantly by focusing on maintaining possession of the ball, a strategy designed to frustrate their opponents and disrupt their rhythm. This tactical change paid off handsomely when, in the 56th minute, Mohamed Kamara skillfully found the back of the net, bringing Bhantal’s score to four. The controlled play allowed Bhantal to dictate the tempo of the game, leaving their rivals struggling to regain momentum.

Bhantal is on fire this season. After an impressive victory, they’ve surged to the top of the table, marking their dominance as last season’s runners-up. They’ve kicked off the campaign with three straight wins, amassing a thrilling nine points and an incredible seven goals along the way. The Freetown-based club is proving to be a force to be reckoned with.
