The head coach of Sierra Leone’s National Team, Amidu Karim clears the air on the absence of Musa Kallon, a Sierra Leonean footballer based in China.
Coach Karim in an interview with the press expressed the concerns facing the player. He said that the player would not be part of the squad because of some family issues he is faced with at the moment.
The player however expressed his ambition to join the squad in subsequent matches.
Coach Amidu did not show the exact cause of the problem but said the matter was enough to make the player not involved in the coming Leone Stars matches for the World Cup Qualifying.
The player also expressed his sincere apologies to the fans and hoped that the issues would be resolved soon to make him join the rest of his teammates as soon as possible.
A cross-section of the Leone Stars delegation, led by the Vice President 1 of the Sierra Leone Football Association Harold Nat-Johnson, has safely arrived in Casablanca, Morocco. Departing from Freetown in the early hours of Friday, May 31, 2024, the team is in preparation for their 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying match against Djibouti on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 and Musa Kallon who is one of the country’s sensational defenders would not be part of the squad for what he said to be a family issues.
