Cross-section of Leone Stars supporters, stakeholders and others that were stranded at the Lungi International Airport have finally departed for Cameroon.
According to sources, the supporters were supposed to onboard Air Maroc at 2:00 PM and expected to arrive at 8:00 PM. The flight was later cancelled which led to the stranding of the supporters at the airport.
The sources added that, the stranded supporters and stakeholders were with the Leone Stars match kit for tomorrow’s opening match against Algeria.
After spending over 6 hours at the airport, the supporters finally checked in for their trip to Cameroon to support Leone Stars at the Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON).
