Sierra Leone International midfielder, Tyrese Fornah netted his first goal for Salford City in the English League One on Boxing Day.

The midfielder was on the scoresheet when the Ammiess defeated Barrow 3-0 recording their first-ever three-game winning streak since October last year.

Fornah doubled the Ammies’ lead in the 33rd minute after Garbut put the host in front in 12 minutes earlier at the Peninsula Stadium in Salford City.

Kouassi confirmed Salford’s win with another goal in the 80th minute. Shortly after that, Fornah received red in the 84th minutes.

Reacting to the game, Fornah said, “Boxing Day win and a goal; special performance all round, but apologies to the fans I will be back soon.”

Fornah will be unavailable on Sunday when Salford plays Morecambe at the Peninsula Stadium in their final match of 2024.

The Ammies are now in fifth place contesting for play-offs to the English Championship, second tier of English football.
