Mighty Blackpool, a prominent Sierra Leonean premier league club, is taking a major step towards privatization by appointing an interim Management Committee headed by Rodney Michael.
This decision, made on September 28, 2023, replaces the previous working committee from September 6, 2021. The club’s transformation into a privately-owned company limited by shareholders, proposed jointly by the Fan Club and the Heroes of Mighty Blackpool FC, has been approved by the Committee of Elders.
As a result, the original working committee is dissolved, and an interim committee is in place to oversee the transition. The members of the committee are:
Sho Cole – Vice Chairman
Berthan Lamin Bangura – Secretary
Bilal Bah – General Manager and Head of Marketing
Sulayman Shine – Team Manager
Ibrahim Sankoh – Head of Media
Salia Fawundu – Assistant Marketing Officer and Media
Alieu Kamara Taylor – Fan Club Representative
Madam Kani Sesay – Chairlady
This move marks a significant milestone in Mighty Blackpool FC’s journey toward becoming a privately-owned entity.
