The friendly matches announcement of Leone Stars ahead of AFCON 2023 qualifiers was received with pleasure by Sierra Leoneans. These friendlies were organised to provide a way to strengthen the National Senior Men’s team. SLFA held a meeting and concluded to hold the matches against Togo, Liberia and Congo Brazzavilee on the 24th, 27th and 29th March respectively.

Sierra Leoneans and fans of Musa Tomb were very ecstatic when the announcement reached them. Musa Tombo is loved by Sierra Leone as he is considered to be the Goal machine for our Darling Leone Stars. This he proved during the AFCON 2021, when he had his goal against Ivory Coast which boosted the team that ended the match 2:2.

When SLFA releases Leone Stars 25-Man Squad for friendlies against togo, Liberia And Congo Brazzaville majority of Sierra Leoneans were perplexed with this decision made by the head coach, John Keister. According to Keister, the decision was made so that the big stars could create room for upcoming stars to showcase their football skills.

After the 23-man squad LEONE STARS departs Sierra Leone for these friendlies in Turkey, without Musa Tombo, Kai Kamara and Umaru Bangura, this afternoon Sierra Leone sensational striker, Musa Tombo was on a TikTok video enjoying love with his wife.
