The Sierra Leonean football community is mourning the loss of Abdul Kamara, affectionately known as Kempes, a former standout player for Old Edwardians and the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) football team.

The sad event took place on Thursday, January 9, 2025, after a long battle with illness.

Kempes was a well-known figure in Sierra Leone’s football scene, having also played for Papa Jack. His impressive performances and dedication on the field earned him a respected place in the hearts of fans and teammates alike.

His tenure with Old Edwardians and the SLP team marked significant periods in his career, where he showcased his talent and commitment to the sport.
