The Pujehun District Football Association (PDFA), in partnership with Sport Promoters, is set to organise an Inter-Primary School Football Competition, a development that has generated excitement among parents and participating schools across the district.
Organisers say it has been a long time since such a competition was last held in the district, making the initiative a welcome boost to grassroots sports development. According to the PDFA and Sport Promoters, the tournament is aimed at identifying young football talents at the primary school level and building their capacity to represent Pujehun District and Sierra Leone in the future.
They further noted that the competition will contribute significantly to the improvement of football in the district, while also fostering unity, teamwork, and strong relationships among school-going pupils.
The organisers have therefore called on stakeholders in Pujehun District to support the initiative to ensure effective coordination and the overall success of the competition.
A total of 12 primary schools are expected to participate in the tournament, divided into two groups.

Group A:
SLC Massam, Holy Family, NIM/UBC, ICS/RC Yonni, SAM S. Abu/Anzaru, U.M.A.
Group B:
Every Nation, PDEC, UMC/AMPS, SLC Gobaru, SLUIM, Quranic.
The competition is expected to serve as a platform for nurturing future football stars while strengthening school sports in the district.
