The Premier League Board’s Disciplinary Committee has ruled on the aftermath of the FC Kallon vs. Freetonian SLIFA match, awarding FC Kallon three points and two goals following an incident during the game on January 5, 2025.

According to the Premier League Board’s press release, the Emergency Disciplinary and Protests Committee found Mr. Benjamin Gordon, Technical Adviser for SLIFA, guilty of unsporting behavior.

The charges against Gordon include physical contact with an FC Kallon player and involvement in a brawl with the visiting team’s goalkeeper coach, actions that led to the premature end of the match.

Sanctions Imposed on SLIFA and Gordon:

Ban: Mr. Gordon has been banned from attending six consecutive SLIFA matches.

Forfeiture of Points: SLIFA forfeits three points and two goals to FC Kallon, as stipulated under Rule 24.1(d).

Fine: Mr. Gordon faces a fine of NLe 3,000.00, with the ban remaining effective until the fine is fully paid.

The fine must be deposited into the Premier League Board’s account at Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, with proof of payment submitted to the board. Failure to comply with these sanctions may result in additional disciplinary measures.

The Premier League Board reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining discipline and fostering a respectful environment in Sierra Leone’s top-flight football league.
