Rodney Strasser Foundation, led by its CEO Rodney Strasser, donated ten footballs to the East End Lions football club on July 23, 2024, at the Approve School field.
This timely donation aims to bolster the morale of the team as they gear up for their participation in the 2024 CAF Confederation Cup.
National Coordinator Allan MJ Campbell, representing the foundation, emphasized the significance of this contribution. “This kind gesture from the Rodney Strasser Foundation is to boost the morale of the team as they prepare to participate in the CAF club competition,” he stated.
The upcoming matches for the CAF Confederation Cup, scheduled for August 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2024, will see the East End Lions face ASC Jaraaf in Senegal. The donation is seen as a vital morale booster for the team as they prepare for this significant challenge.
Alhaji Abdul Rahman Davies, the Assistant Secretary General of East End Lions, expressed profound appreciation for the donation. He assured the foundation that the footballs would be well utilized to enhance the team’s preparation. Davies highlighted the personal connection between Rodney Strasser and the club, noting that Strasser’s late father was a player and elder committee member of the East End Lions. “This donation is a payback to the club,” Davies remarked, underscoring the gesture’s emotional and historical significance.
