The Sierra Leone Athletics Association (SLAA) has on Saturday 9th April 2022 elected a new executive with Martin Bangura being overwhelmly voted for as the President.
Bangura’s camp clinched all the executive positions in the election, replacing the outgoing Abdul Karim Sesay’s executive who was in charge for over two terms in office.
The new President Martin Bangura was a former sprinter and an administrator who has fought so hard to bring changes to the association through a democratic process.
Athletes and other well-wishers are looking forward to seeing a new era that will improve the status of track and field athletics in the country.
