Leone Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Sahr Samadia has clinched his first major International Trophy, after his Israeli Club Hapoel Rishon Lezio won the Liga Luemit Toto Cup.
Hapoel Rishon LeZion defeated Hapoel Nir Ramat HaSharon 1-0 to win the 2022/2023 Toto Cup.
This the 38th edition of the Toto Cup, which is the third most important competition in Israeli football after the Israeli Premier League and the Israeli State Cup.
Reacting to the win, Samadia thanked God Almighty for making it possible and gratitude to the technical team and his teammates for a job well done.
“This will not be my last trophy. I will continue to give my best, train hard, and win more accolades in my football career,” he said.
Emmanuel Samadia, born 19 April 2001 is a Sierra Leonean footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga Leumit club Hapoel Rishon LeZion and the Sierra Leone national team.
He made his debut for the Sierra Leone national team in October 2020. He played for Sierra Leone U20 at the 2020 WAFU U-20 Championship and the 2022 CHAN qualifies for home-based players.
The Israel Toto Cup is an association football tournament that features clubs in the two highest divisions in Israel, the Israeli Premier League (Ligat Ha’Al), and the second division Liga Leumit.
The Toto Cup is the third most important competition in Israeli football after the Israeli Premier League and the Israeli State Cup.
