After suffering two straight defeats in charge of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, believes his team will play better when they take on Sierra Leone in next Thursday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja, Saturday
The Eagles lost 2-1 to Mexico in their first international friendly in Dallas Texas last Sunday before rounding off their tour of the US with another defeat to Ecuador on Thursday.
Peseiro also adds that the Eagles must improve in their organisation and be consistent in their play to thrive again.
“I still think against Ecuador we played much better than against Mexico and in the next match, we’ll play much better than this match,” he said.
I hope you’ll take these goals you missed today for our first official match against Sierra Leone.
“If I am a Nigerian I will be happy with the Eagles because they have good players.
“We have too much quality players in the team, but all that needs to improve are organisation, good system and consistency,” Peseiro said.
