The West Area Football Association (WAFA) has in a press release issued a ban on all active Sierra Leone Premier League players from participating in any community or mini-league competition.
The Association made this notice to all affiliated members and mini-league organizers under the Western Area Football Association to honor this ban on those players.
In the release, they wrote to remind all affiliated bodies and mini-league organizers, that all Premier League players are banned from participating/playing in any community league or mini leagues competitions.
There have been several disappointments coming from fans and stakeholders of the Sierra Leone Premier League about the levity players took to participate in those competitions. They see such acts as a risk to players jeopardizing their careers thereby limiting their name and their team.
At the end of the release, the Association succinctly called on all affiliated members and mini-league organizers to adhere to the above directive as strict measures shall be taken against any defaulter.
They requested that the public or anyone with questions of clarification should contact their secretariat at 19 Hennessy Street, Kingtom.
