The Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League Board Condemns responsible to organized the Female Premier League has condemned the violent attack on a female referee.

The unfortunate event unfolded at the Angola Field in a match between F. C. Kallon and Mogbwemo Queens.

In a press release issued by the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League Board stated that the clamor with violence instigated and perpetrated by supporters and officials of one of the clubs have been brought to its attention.

As it condemned the violent act, the board has promised to take steps to address the said event, and encourage players, referees, commissioners, and coordinators who have been subjected to violence to report to the relevant authorities for investigation.

It was also stated that the board will take all allegations of violence seriously and will exercise all powers available within its jurisdiction to bring the culprits to justice once investigation is concluded.

As a way of protecting the game, clubs, and its officials, the board has promised to increase security personnel in each match venue.
