The Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League Board paid a courtesy visit to the leadership of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, to discuss preparations for the upcoming 2025/2026 season.

The delegation, headed by Board Chairperson Honorable Mariatu Rachel Pessima, met with SLFA President Babadi Kamara at the SLFA Secretariat in Kingtom, Freetown.

Honorable Pessima expressed high hopes for the new season, predicting it will be one of the best in the competition’s history. She highlighted that clubs have already started the registration process using SLFA Connect, the football association’s online platform.

The Chairperson noted that the use of SLFA Connect is a key step toward improving transparency, efficiency, and stakeholder management across Sierra Leonean football.

SLFA President Babadi Kamara welcomed the Board and reaffirmed the association’s unwavering support for the development and growth of women’s football in Sierra Leone.

President Kamara commended the Board’s dedication and professionalism, stressing that the Women’s Premier League is vital for discovering and nurturing the “immense talents” of female footballers nationwide.

He encouraged the Board to continue aiming for excellence, with a goal of making the competition one of the most competitive and admired women’s leagues in Africa.

The Board was received by the SLFA Acting General Secretary, Mohamed Benson Bawoh, and the Women’s Football Manager, Elizabeth Alberta Kailey
