The Leone Stars of Sierra Leone have suffered a 3 – 0 defeat to Algeria’s national B side in an international friendly match played at the Fujairah Club Stadium in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday.
The game went to a draw at first half, but the desert foxes found the net in the 58th minute to take the lead. The further found the net twice before the 78th minute to secure a comfortable win against the West Africa side.
The Leone Stars Captain, Steven Roy Caulker picked a Red Card in the 84th minute of the game as controversies erupted during the match.
This will be the third difficult result for the Leone Stars following similar defeat in their last outings against South Africa and DRC.
Coach John Keister’s side will now need to do more groundwork ahead of next year’s Cup of Nations qualifiers against São Tomé and Príncipe.
