Shooting Stars Set to Face Zambia, Egypt and Two Others in U-20 AFCON Matches
The Sierra Leone Football Team has been staged in Group A to clash with Zambia on Sunday, 27th April, and Egypt on Wednesday, 30th April, 2025 in the next U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Match.
The team will also be competing against Tanzania, and South Africa in the same group stage. As scheduled, Shooting Stars will clash with Tanzania and South Africa on Saturday, 3rd May, and Tuesday, 6th May, 2025, respectively.
Records confirmed that Shooting Stars was initially placed in Group C to battle with Senegal, Kenya, and Zambia. Reason for those crucial changes has not been made known.
The tournament will involve thirteen teams, with the two top teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals, along with the two best third placed teams.
The four highest-performing teams will be qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Chile from 27th September to 19th October, 2025.
