Police in Freetown have arrested a man and seized suspected narcotics and drug production paraphernalia during a raid on Tuesday evening. Osman Kamara, of Regent Road, Lumley, was taken into custody by officers from the Adonkia Police Station.
During the operation, authorities reportedly found Kamara in possession of a small rolling suitcase containing suspected drugs and equipment.
Inside, officers discovered three white plastic bags filled with a substance believed to be KUSH, a synthetic drug, and a white rubber container holding a liquid suspected to be a chemical used in KUSH production.

Additional items recovered at the scene included red rubber gloves, an electronic scale, three small cups labeled “synthetic food color,” a white bottle containing a liquid substance, adhesive tape, and three face masks.
The arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of the Regional Police Commander for Freetown West, AIG Sylvester M. N. Koroma, to combat drug trafficking and maintain law and order. AIG Koroma has overseen several successful operations recently, including drug busts on Taylor Street and Toke, as well as the dismantling of makeshift drug laboratories.
Police have obtained a statement from Kamara, and all seized items are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
