Fire Destroys Homes and Businesses at Dama Road, Kenema

A devastating fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday on Dama Road in Kenema, directly opposite Access Bank, causing significant damage to residential and commercial properties.

According to eyewitnesses, the blaze erupted around dawn and rapidly engulfed multiple structures in the vicinity. Though the exact cause remains under investigation, preliminary reports suggest it may have been sparked by an unsafe electrical connection linked to the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) power supply

Thick plumes of black smoke and intense flames could be seen billowing from the scene as residents fled for safety, many crying out in distress. Emergency responders and community members worked together to contain the fire and prevent further spread.

Fortunately, no fatalities have been confirmed. However, several families and businesses have been affected, with properties and valuable items reportedly destroyed.
