The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has recognized the skill and professionalism of Sierra Leonean referees by appointing four officials to oversee a key fixture in the CAF Champions League first preliminary round, marking a proud moment for the nation’s football community.

four football officials from Sierra Leone have been designated by CAF to officiate   the match between JS Kabylie (Algeria) and Bibiani Goldstars FC (Ghana) is scheduled for Sunday, 28th September 2025, in Algeria.

The appointed Sierra Leonean referees are:

Rashid M. Conteh – Central Referee

Sahr Abdulai Freeman – Assistant Referee 1

Alusine Conteh – Assistant Referee 2

Mohamed Buzin Conteh – Fourth Official

CAF’s appointment underscores the country’s growing reputation in African football officiating, reflecting the referees’ dedication, consistency, and the ongoing development of refereeing standards in Sierra Leone.
