Thousands of students flocked to the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) yesterday to register for the November 2025 Private West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), fully financed by the Government of Sierra Leone.
The initiative is part of the government’s effort to assist the 8,000 pupils who missed the WASSCE in June 2025. So far, 4,000 of these students have already registered for the June 2026 exams.
Additionally, 3,750 learners from 52 schools across the country have enrolled in government-sponsored remedial classes and are expected to complete their registration on the WAEC site by September 28, 2025.
Registration centers have been set up nationwide to facilitate the process, and the government is covering all registration fees, including photography costs. Students are urged to take full advantage of this opportunity to secure their place in the November exams.
