The woman alleged to be in a relationship with Appeals Court Judge Justice Momoh-Jah Stevens, Edwina Jamiru has issued a public apology following a recent viral video in which she criticised the judge on social media.
In a leaked audio recording circulating online, Edwina Jamiru extended a heartfelt apology to Justice Stevens, expressing regret over her previous statements and pledging to be a better partner moving forward.
“I want to render my sincere apologies for all the wrongs I have done,” Jamiru said. “I know that you’re hurt and I am very sorry.”
She attributed her actions to her youth and deep affection for the judge, stating that she “loves him so much” and has no romantic interest in any other man. In the audio, Jamiru also vowed to respect Justice Stevens, his wife, Agatha Stevens, and their children.
“I know that my actions have brought a rift between you and your wife, Agatha Stevens, and that was not my intention,” she added.
Jamiru said her outburst stemmed from feeling neglected by the judge, particularly concerning the welfare of her daughter.
The controversy first erupted last week when reports surfaced that Justice Stevens was seeking legal recourse over alleged online bullying involving Jamiru. In response, Jamiru went live on social media, claiming the judge was failing to fulfill his responsibilities as a father, a video that quickly drew public attention and sympathy.
However, the newly leaked apology has shifted the narrative, prompting a wave of reactions from the public. Many are now watching closely to see how Justice Stevens will respond to this latest development.
The incident continues to spark debate on social media, with questions swirling about accountability, personal relationships in public life, and the boundaries of private disputes in the digital age.
