The Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, Conard Sackey, has announced the successful registration of private WASSCE students whose names were omitted from the 2024/2025 government WASSCE.
Minister Sackey credited the accomplishment to the dedication of his ministry team and the strong partnership with WAEC, which ensured that thousands of students can now sit their exams.
“When we learned that some eligible candidates faced challenges, we acted immediately. Our philosophy is simple: leave no child behind,” he said.
The minister explained that the registration process was carried out in phases. Initially, 3,423 candidates were successfully registered. Following complaints, an additional 119 candidates were registered after direct intervention from his office. Targeted engagement at Methodist Girls High School led to 25 further registrations.
