Stephen Barnes, architect of the GO-FOR-GOLD Program, accompanied by foreign investors from the United States, Germany, and India, paid a courtesy visit to Rt. Hon. Speaker Segepoh Solomon Thomas in his office on October 27, 2025.

The delegation expressed strong interest in investing in Sierra Leone, highlighting the country’s open-door policy and welcoming populace.

Barnes emphasized their aim to promote direct foreign investment and urged the Speaker to facilitate the ratification of related agreements at the parliamentary level. He assured that their vision aligns with President Bio’s agenda for sustainable investment in the country.

Speaker Thomas welcomed the delegation, commending their intentions and reaffirming that Sierra Leone is open to genuine investors. He assured that the Sixth Parliament of the Second Republic is committed to enacting laws that protect both Sierra Leoneans and investors, and will support agreements that bring meaningful investments to the nation.

The meeting highlighted Sierra Leone’s potential for increased foreign investment, particularly in sectors aligned with national development goals. With its strategic location, competitive labor force, and attractive incentives, the country presents significant opportunities for growth and collaboration.
