Kakua Chambers, a consortium of legal practitioners based in Bo, has donated 50 bags of cement to support the ongoing construction of a new police cell at the Bo West Police Division. The contribution forms part of efforts to improve law enforcement infrastructure and promote humane detention conditions.

The initiative aligns with the vision of Chief Superintendent of Police Augustine Kabia, Local Unit Commander of Bo West, who has been spearheading the revival of the long-delayed project to rebuild and expand the division’s police cell.

Speaking during the presentation, Jah Melvin Sundufu Esq., representing Lawyer Monya Sheriff Managing Partner of Kakua Chambers and SLPP District Secretary General emphasized that the donation reflects the firm’s commitment to justice and human rights.

“Promoting human rights is not limited to the courtroom. A functional, rights-respecting police facility is essential for fair and dignified treatment of all individuals,” he said.

Receiving the donation, CSP Kabia expressed appreciation to Kakua Chambers for their timely and meaningful support.

He noted that the Bo West Division has long faced infrastructure challenges, and the gesture will help improve standards in police operations and detainee welfare.
