The Budapest–Bamako–Freetown Rally has officially crossed into Sierra Leone, with rally vehicles and motorbikes arriving in large numbers at the Gbalamuya border in Kambia ahead of tonight’s overnight stop at Bureh Beach. Ministry officials, border authorities, and other government agencies are on the ground to support participants, ensuring a smooth and coordinated entry process for the international rally.

Rally crews were warmly welcomed with vibrant cultural performances, including traditional drumming, dancing, and displays of local attire, showcasing the rich heritage and hospitality of Sierra Leone. Spectators lined the streets, cheering as participants made their way through the border town, creating a festive atmosphere that highlighted the country’s celebratory spirit.

The excitement continues to build as participants prepare for the grand official finish line event, which is scheduled for tomorrow at Gigibonta Car Park along Lumley Beach Road, promising a spectacular close to the transcontinental rally.
