The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Babadi Kamara, has officially crowned Mogbwemo Queens as champions of the Marampa Mines Women’s Premier League following a dominant campaign capped by a 5-0 victory over Ascentonians FC at the Southern Arena.
Kamara led a high-profile delegation to the coronation ceremony, joined by Vice President 1 Alie Badara Tarawallie, Minister of Sports Augusta James-Teima, Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh, Bo City Mayor Kobba Musa, and Managing Director of Marampa Mines Limited Angula Kalili, alongside other football and government stakeholders.
Mogbwemo Queens secured their third league title in historic fashion, completing the season with a perfect 100 percent winning record. Their emphatic final-day performance highlighted a campaign marked by consistency, discipline, and attacking brilliance, further underlining their dominance in women’s football in Sierra Leone.
Speaking after the ceremony, Babadi Kamara congratulated the team for what he described as an outstanding achievement and a reflection of the growing standard of women’s football in the country. He also reaffirmed the Sierra Leone Football Association’s commitment to investing in and promoting the women’s game nationwide.
With the league title secured, Mogbwemo Queens will now represent Sierra Leone in the 2026–27 CAF Women’s Champions League preliminary stages, carrying national hopes onto the continental stage.
