APC Elders Council member Hon. Ibrahim Ben Kargbo has spoken on the ongoing reconciliation process within the All People’s Congress (APC), involving former presidential candidate Dr. Samura Kamara and other party members.

In an interview, Kargbo described the situation between Dr. Kamara and some party members as a “challenging” one, noting that efforts to resolve internal differences have so far not yielded the desired results.

He further suggested that differing interests among party supporters continue to complicate the reconciliation process, particularly ahead of future elections.

According to him, a planned reconciliation meeting was recently postponed in order to allow for broader participation and inclusion of more party stakeholders in discussions aimed at strengthening internal unity.

Kargbo also made reference to Dr. Kamara’s past experiences in leadership positions, drawing comparisons to earlier situations in which he was elected but later stepped down under pressure.
