The Sierra Leone men’s national football team, the Leone Stars, wrapped up their final home-based training session in Freetown ahead of their departure to Bo City for the highly anticipated first leg of their international friendly series against the Lone Star of Liberia.

The team trained with high intensity and determination at their home base as the newly appointed technical team fine-tuned tactics for Saturday’s regional showdown. Players displayed immense focus and commitment during the drills, expressing a unified readiness to represent Sierra Leone with pride on home turf.

The match marks the first of a two-leg international friendly series designed to test strategies and assess squad depth during the June FIFA international window.

Under the guidance of newly appointed caretaker head coach John Edward Keister, the Leone Stars are looking to spark a strong run of form.

Following the match in Bo City, the team will travel to Monrovia for the return leg at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Stadium on Tuesday, June 9.

With the technical prep officially wrapped up in the capital, the squad is heading to Bo, where a passionate home crowd awaits to push them toward a thrilling victory against their neighboring rivals.
