Africell Sierra Leone and Afrimoney Sierra Leone have concluded a digital outreach programme targeting several tertiary institutions in Freetown, focusing on digital learning, financial inclusion and customer engagement.
The initiative, known as the Digital University Connect and Africell Customer Experience (ACE) Exercise, was led by Africell Sierra Leone CEO Shadi Gerjawi and Afrimoney Sierra Leone CEO Martison Obeng-Agyei. Activities included educational sessions, discussions, product demonstrations and giveaways.
The programme was held at Fourah Bay College (FBC), the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), the University of Management and Technology (UNIMTECH), Milton Margai Technical University and Freetown Polytechnic. Students, lecturers and administrators participated in the engagements.
The ACE exercise is a monthly initiative by Africell aimed at gathering feedback from subscribers on products and services. Speaking during the outreach, Gerjawi said customer satisfaction remains central to the company’s operations, adding that feedback from customers informs management decisions on network quality, data services and other offerings.
Students who participated said the sessions provided an opportunity to share experiences and learn more about Africell and Afrimoney products, including the AFRIGPT platform and other digital services designed to support learning, communication and financial inclusion.
Africell and Afrimoney said they will continue engaging universities as part of efforts to expand access to digital services in Sierra Leone.
